Gigabyte Gaming A16 (RTX 5070): detailed specifications and workshop review
The Gigabyte Gaming A16 with RTX 5070 (reference CWHI3FR894SH) at €1,408.99 is the model we most often recommend in this range: it retains the chassis, screen, and Core i7 of the lower versions, but upgrades to a graphics card capable of truly leveraging the 165 Hz panel. Full specs, target profiles, and comparison with the other three A16s.

Who is it for?
For the gamer who wants 1920 × 1200 at high to very high settings, including ray tracing thanks to DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, and who relies on 165 Hz for competitive titles. It's also the model in the range most comfortable with an external 1440p monitor connected via HDMI 2.1 or USB-C for office use. For creative work, the 10-core Core i7 and the Blackwell NVENC encoder make it a credible tool for video editing, photo retouching, and supplementary 3D rendering.
The limitation remains video memory: 8 GB, as on the RTX 5050 and 5060. For the most demanding games at 1200p, "ultra" textures should be moderated. This is precisely what distinguishes the A16 Pro with its RTX 5070 Ti 12 GB.

Our thoughts, based on the specs
Compared to the RTX 5050 (€174 less) and the RTX 5060 without Windows (€193 less), the RTX 5070 is the only one of the three 8 GB cards to offer real headroom for demanding games, while retaining the Core i7, the terabyte storage, and Windows 11. For mixed gaming and creative use, this is the sweet spot of the range.
Compared to the A16 Pro RTX 5070 Ti, which is €900 more expensive, the question comes down to the screen and VRAM: if you want to game at 2560 × 1600 on the integrated display, or do color-critical work on a 100% sRGB 400-nit screen, the Pro is justified. If 1920 × 1200 suits you, the price difference can easily fund an external monitor and 32 GB of RAM.
Like all our laptops, it is checked and updated before shipping (Windows, BIOS, drivers, screen and keyboard test), with French-speaking customer service in Paris, a 2-year warranty, and interest-free payment in 4 installments. If you don't need mobility, our RTX 5070 gaming PC collection offers the same card in a desktop version, with incomparable cooling and upgradeability.
