750€ for a complete gaming PC, assembled, tested, with Windows 11 Pro installed and ready to play — is it possible in 2026? Yes. But not just any way. At DSGate, this is our entry-level configuration and it represents a significant portion of our sales. We will show you exactly what's inside, how it performs in games, and most importantly, what to expect.
No false promises: this is not a 4K Ultra PC. It's a machine designed for 1080p gaming with comfortable FPS on the most popular titles. And it does that very well.
What's in the box
At DSGate, we offer two variants at this budget — one Intel, one AMD. Both offer very similar gaming performance. The choice primarily depends on availability and your preferences.

i5-10500 or Ryzen 5 5500: which one to choose?
Both are at the same price (~99-110€) and offer 6 cores / 12 threads. In pure gaming, the Ryzen 5 5500 has a slight advantage thanks to its newer Zen 3 architecture. The i5-10500 is a bit behind but remains perfectly capable.
The real deciding factor: the platform. The Ryzen 5 5500 runs on AM4, which opens the door for a future upgrade to a 5600X or 5700X without changing the motherboard. The i5-10500 on LGA 1200 has more limited CPU upgrade options.
Our advice: if both are available at the same price, choose the Ryzen 5 5500 for AM4's upgradeability. If the i5-10500 is cheaper or on sale, it's a perfectly valid choice.
What it's like in games: estimated FPS
Here's the performance you can expect from this config. Both CPUs yield very similar results with an RTX 3050 — the GPU does the primary work here.

What to remember
For competitive 1080p gaming, this config is excellent. Fortnite at 90+ FPS on high settings, Valorant at 180+ FPS, CS2 at 100+ FPS — it's largely playable and fluid. With a 144 Hz monitor, you'll fully enjoy the smoothness.
For AAA games, it's tighter. On medium settings, you'll get around 50-60 FPS, which is playable but not excessive. On high settings, some titles drop to 40-45 FPS. It's not an "ultra-smooth" experience, but it's perfectly acceptable for the price.
And don't forget DLSS: on compatible NVIDIA games (Cyberpunk, Hogwarts Legacy, Fortnite, etc.), activating DLSS in quality mode can add 20 to 40% FPS for free with minimal visual impact.

What to expect (and what not to expect)
Let's be honest. At 750€, you get a very good entry-level gaming PC. But there are limitations.
What this configuration does very well
It's tailored for competitive 1080p games — Fortnite, Valorant, CS2, League of Legends, Apex. If this is your main use, this config checks all the boxes. It also handles recent AAA games on medium settings quite well.
For everyday use, it's also an excellent desktop PC: web browsing, office tasks, video streaming (YouTube, Netflix in 4K), video conferencing — no problem.
What this configuration does not do
It doesn't do smooth 1440p. The RTX 3050 doesn't have the power for that, especially on AAA games. If you have a 1440p monitor, you'll be disappointed — stick to 1080p.
It's not ideal for streaming. Encoding with OBS while gaming requires more CPU power. The 5500 and 10500 can do it at reduced quality, but for serious streaming, you need to aim higher.
It won't run AAA games on ultra at 120+ FPS. For that, you need a configuration costing 1000€+ with an Arc B580 or an RTX 3070.
The upgrade path: how to evolve this configuration
One of the advantages of buying an assembled PC on a standard platform is the possibility of upgrading it later. Here are the most cost-effective upgrades in order of priority.
Upgrade 1: the graphics card (~250-400€)
This is the upgrade that will have the most impact. Moving from the RTX 3050 to an Arc B580 (~299€) or an RTX 3070 (~300-350€) literally transforms the machine. FPS almost doubles on AAA games, and 1440p becomes viable.
The good news: your i5-10500 or Ryzen 5 5500 won't bottleneck these cards at 1080p. At 1440p, the GPU will be the limiting factor, not the CPU.
Upgrade 2: the CPU (AMD config only, ~50-80€ extra cost)
If you opted for the Ryzen 5 5500 config on AM4, you can upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600X (~140-160€) by reselling the 5500. The net extra cost is around 50-80€ for a gain of 15-37% in gaming depending on the games. This is the most cost-effective upgrade in €/FPS gained.
On the Intel i5-10500 config (LGA 1200), CPU upgrade options are more limited and less attractive in terms of price/performance.
Upgrade 3: add 16 GB of RAM (~100-120€)
Upgrading from 16 GB to 32 GB improves stability (fewer micro-stutters) and comfort in multitasking. This is particularly relevant if you upgrade the GPU to a B580 or better.
Upgrade 4: add a 1 TB SSD (~90-130€)
If you're running out of space for your games, a second 1 TB NVMe SSD is the simplest upgrade. It installs in 2 minutes.
Comparison: 750€ at DSGate vs. buying components yourself
We often get asked: "is it cheaper to build it myself?" Let's do the math.

Result: the price of components alone is roughly equivalent, or even more expensive if you buy an official Windows license. And you don't get the assembly, testing, cable management, support, or the included 500 GB HDD.
Building it yourself makes sense if you enjoy it and have the experience. But for someone who wants a ready-to-play PC without the risk of incorrect assembly, the DSGate config at 750€ is an honest deal.
Who is this configuration for?
Competitive gamers: If you primarily play Fortnite, Valorant, CS2, or League of Legends, this config gives you comfortable FPS at 1080p. With a 144 Hz monitor, you'll fully enjoy the smoothness.
First gaming PCs: Are you transitioning from a console or an underpowered laptop? This config is an excellent first gaming desktop PC.
Controlled budgets: 750€ all-inclusive, no surprises, no hidden fees. That's the price of a console + a screen, except you get a complete and versatile PC.
Students: Gaming in the evening, office work and classes during the day. This PC handles both without a hitch.
It's NOT for you if...
You only play AAA games on ultra settings: aim for our B580 config at ~1000€ instead.
You want 1440p: the RTX 3050 is not designed for that, check out our configs at ~1000€ and above.
You do serious streaming: you need more CPU and GPU power, a Ryzen 7 5700X + RTX 5060 minimum.
You do 4K video editing: this PC can do it, but slowly. For content creation, our configs with 32 GB of RAM and a more powerful GPU are more suitable.
Frequently asked questions
Is 750€ enough for a gaming PC in 2026? Yes, for 1080p on competitive titles and AAA games at medium settings. It's not high-end, but it's a capable gaming PC.
RTX 3050 or RTX 2060 at the same price? We also offer configs with RTX 2060 at ~730€ (DSGate M5-II and G5). The RTX 2060 has slightly higher raw power than the RTX 3050, but its DLSS is not as optimized. Both are good choices at this budget. Ask us for advice based on your games.
Do I need a special monitor? A 1080p 144 Hz monitor is the ideal companion for this config. You can find them starting from 120-150€. A 60 Hz monitor will also work, but you won't get all the FPS the machine produces on competitive titles.
Can I upgrade later? Yes, that's one of the advantages of a desktop PC. GPU, RAM, storage, and even CPU (on the AMD config) are all upgradeable without changing the base.
Is it noisy? No. The RTX 3050 only consumes 130W, and the Ryzen 5 5500 / i5-10500 are 65W CPUs. With the included cooler and a properly ventilated case, the PC remains quiet during gaming.
