DSGate Premium Cloud Digital Test: R7 5700X and RTX 5060 Ti

In the DSGate range, the Cloud Digital comes in two flavors: an Intel version with a Core i5-14400F, and the one we are reviewing today, the Premium Cloud Digital, built around an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. At €1,099, it targets a specific profile: the gamer who streams, edits videos, or runs several heavy loads in parallel. Let's take a look at the machine.

The processor: 8 cores that change the game in everyday use

The Ryzen 7 5700X is one of the most rational choices for the AM4 platform: 8 cores and 16 threads, a contained 65W thermal envelope, and a price that has become very attractive since the arrival of subsequent generations. In games, it powers the RTX 5060 Ti without bottlenecking it at 1440p, which is the main target for this configuration.

But it is outside of pure gaming that its two extra cores (compared to the 6 cores of an i5-14400F or a Ryzen 5) really make sense: stream encoding while playing, video exporting, compiling, virtual machines, or simply heavy multitasking with a browser, Discord, and recording running simultaneously. The headroom is real and is felt in the overall fluidity.

The graphics card: RTX 5060 Ti, aiming for Ultra 1440p

The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is based on the Blackwell architecture and takes the lead over the classic RTX 5060 thanks to more compute units. Its natural target: 1440p at Ultra settings for the vast majority of titles, with incursions into 4K on well-optimized games or via DLSS.

DLSS 4 with frame generation is the key argument for this generation: on compatible games, the gain in fluidity allows for high refresh rates even in QHD, with ray tracing enabled. The 8 GB of VRAM carries the same caveat as the rest of the range: for a handful of titles that are very texture-intensive, turning settings down a notch may sometimes be necessary in 1440p. Nothing deal-breaking at this price point.

Memory, storage, and platform: calculated trade-offs

The AM4 platform runs on DDR4 — 16 GB in this case, enough to cover gaming and standard streaming. This choice of a mature platform, rather than AM5 and its DDR5, allows for an 8-core CPU and an RTX 5060 Ti to fit under the €1,100 mark: this is the whole positioning of this machine. For intensive video editing, a later upgrade to 32 GB remains simple and inexpensive with DDR4.

The 1 TB NVMe SSD hosts Windows 11 — pre-installed, the machine is ready to use right out of the box — and a substantial library of games or video footage. Loading times are fast, and the dual slot on the motherboard leaves the door open for future expansion.

Case and assembly

The Cloud Digital case offers a glass panel, tasteful RGB lighting, and airflow designed for silence under load. Like all DSGate machines, every unit is hand-assembled in France, with clean cable management, and then individually tested before shipping. This attention to detail translates into good temperatures, controlled noise levels, and facilitated upgradability.

Who is this PC for?

  • The streamer: playing and encoding simultaneously is exactly the scenario where the 8 cores of the 5700X pull ahead.
  • The casual creator: video editing, heavy photo retouching, exports — the machine handles it without flinching.
  • The 1440p gamer: QHD 144/165 Hz monitor, Ultra settings, DLSS 4 — the 5700X + 5060 Ti duo is built for this.

If your usage is purely gaming without streaming or creation, the Intel Cloud Digital version (i5-14400F, same RTX 5060 Ti) or the M6-IV Cloud Q with an RTX 5060 at €999 remain solid alternatives. Conversely, for systematic 4K Ultra, our Cloud LCDs with an RTX 5070 or RX 9070 XT take over.

Verdict

At €1,099, the DSGate Premium Cloud Digital occupies a unique position: it is the configuration in our range that best balances gaming and creation. The Ryzen 7 5700X brings a versatility that competing 6-core chips do not offer at this price, and the RTX 5060 Ti ensures Ultra 1440p performance with latest-generation technologies. The trade-offs — DDR4, 8 GB of VRAM — are logical and leave room for future upgrades.
